What are... Projects?

This guide will take you through the different components that make up Oneserve’s Projects module.

What are Projects?

Projects are a way for users to group jobs together and better see an overview of the progress against time and money.

The Project Notebook

The Project notebook is made up of several components, the Details Panel, Overview tab, and the Jobs tab.

Details Panel

The Details Panel is where you’ll find all of the key information about a Project. From here you can see the following:

  • Code and Name
  • Key Dates
  • Project Owner
  • Project Budget

Also included in the Details Panel are several charts to help you see at a glance how things are going.

Time
Shows the percentage of calendar days that have passed between the Project Start Date and the Project End Date.

Costs
Shows the total Linked Job costs as a percentage of the Project Budget.

Progress
Shows the number of activities completed from all linked jobs as a percentage of all activities from all linked jobs.

Overview Tab
The Overview Tab gives users a visual representation of when their jobs are scheduled for and their current status.

The Chart will begin from the date of the earliest Planned Start Date and run until the latest Target Date. The Job bars will be coloured according to their job status.

Jobs Tab

The Jobs Tab will show all the jobs that are currently linked to the Project.

From here you have the ability to link more jobs, visit the job’s notebook, schedule appointments, and unlink the jobs that no longer belong to the project.
